Overview
Foreigners who have invested in Korea under the D-8 visa and maintained long-term residency may apply for F-5 permanent residence if they meet certain conditions.
Conversion Requirements
Basic requirements include a minimum investment of KRW 100 million and at least 3 years of continuous D-8 residency. Additionally, applicants must meet either an employment threshold (2 or more Korean nationals employed) or an investment threshold (KRW 500 million or more). A clean criminal record and proof of financial stability are also required.
Application Process
Applications are submitted at the local Immigration Office. Required documents include proof of maintained investment, employment records, and tax payment certificates.
